1. A lot of accidents occur to people who are working on a new job, or on a job that is not their regularly assigned duty.
2. Those injuries happen because people DO NOT KNOW:
• The right way to do the job.
• The hazard of a piece of equipment, a job, or working area.
• Why they must wear a certain protective equipment.
• Why warning signs of “No Smoking”, “High Voltage”, Unauthorized Keep out”, “Eye Protection is required here”, etc.
• What to do, where to go, where to call, in case of emergency.
• Where the fire fighting equipment are, where the first aid equipment are, and how to use them.
3. Those accidents can simply be avoided by KNOWING YOUR JOB THOROUGLY. Please know:
• How to do your job correctly, and why it must be done like that.
• What the hazards of each jog, each equipment and each area are, and how to avoid them.
• Why a certain protective equipment must be worn when doing a job or when entering a working area.
• Why warning signs are posted there, and what hazards are warned to you.
• In case of emergency, what the signal is, what to do, where to go, where to call, and how to barricade your selves.
• where the closest fire extinguisher, stretchers, air splints, first aid supplies area, and how to use them.
4. To be skilled worker you must know your job thoroughly.
5. Please contact your supervisor immediately if you do not know, or you do not understand, or you feel doubtful of the above six points in your job.
